B1409c - SOLD

This is a beautiful pair of long vintage French brocade curtains. We also have two other matching pairs - B1409a & B1409b, and a matching piece of unused fabric - B1410, listed in our other items.

The cotton brocade has a green leaf tendril design with roses and buds in shades of pink and raspberry on a champagne background.

The curtains have sewn pinch pleats to the top and are sewn with a matching passementerie to the meeting edge of each curtain. They are well made and are lined. The cotton brocade has good weight and the curtains hang beautifully.

The curtains are in good vintage condition save for a watermark which extends upwards from the bottom of the left hand curtain by 20 cm (8 inches), please see photos. We have left the curtains as we found them and in our opinion they would be ready to hang once any required adjustments were made for the watermark.  The lining has yellowed a little over the years but is wholesome.

Each curtain measures :- 235 cm (7 ft 8.5 inches) long x 83 cm (2 ft 8.75 inches) across the top and 140 cm (4 ft 7 inches) across the bottom.

A gorgeous pair of curtains to add a finishing touch to a room and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
