These are 2 different panels of fabulous antique French fine cotton muslin Cornely lace dating from the 1800's. Each panel is absolutely covered in vignettes in fine chain stitch and could be used for any number of projects.
PANEL 1 would have come from the bottom right hand corner of a Cornely lace curtain. It has a scalloped edge to two sides and has 3 gorgeous embroidered floral vignettes in fine chain stitch. We have photographed the entire piece and one can see that there are 2 tears to one of the cut edges and one very small hole and 2 pin holes across the piece. It measures 148 cm (4 ft 10.25 inches) long x 79 cm (2 ft 7 inches) wide.
PANEL 2 is ruched to the top and could be hemmed to make a narrow curtain. It has 4 beautiful embroidered floral vignettes. We have photographed the entire piece and one can see that there are 3 small holes and a few pin holes. This piece measures 205 cm (6 ft 8.75 inches) long x 64 cm (2 ft 1 inch) wide.
The panels are in 2 different shades of white.
Two superb panels of Cornely lace to add a château chic finishing touch and another divine brocante find from La Belle Etoffe.
