B1415 - Charming Vintage French Doll's House Tin Shower Room With Working Shower, 1950's

This is an absolulely delightful vintage French doll's shower room. It dates from the 1950's and is full of timeworn charm.

It is made of tin and is in a lovely shade of cream. The floor of the shower room is 'tiled'  in turquoise and has a lift out tray.

The walls are fitted with a handrail, 2 coat hooks, 2 soap trays and a mirror and there is a little window.

The shower actually works! On top of the shower unit is a reservoir to hold the water. There is a mechanism with a hanging chain which, when pulled, releases the water which showers down.

A jolly plastic shower curtain with yellow teddies dressed in bright red and green completes this cute ensemble.

As one would expect there is some evidence that the shower room has been played with over the years. The paint on the 'tiled' floor has some wear and there is a chip to the paint on the top left hand corner.

It measures :- 29 cm (11.5 inches) high x 19 cm (7.5 inches) deep x 19.5 cm (7.6 inches) wide.
