B1466 - SOLD

This is a truly dreamy antique French bridal couronne dating from the 19th Century. It reminds one of Titania in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and would certainly make one feel like a fairy princess. It could now be incorporated into a modern day bridal veil ensemble to give 'the something old' finishing touch.

It certainly is a delicate confection and the detail on the tiara is astonishing! It has a wire frame onto which tiny wax buds, faux pearls and paper flowers are wired.

It has a lovely atmospheric colour palette of dark creams and light coffee shades.

Considering it's delicacy the tiara has survived the years in very good antique condition. Some of the paper flowers 'wobble' a little but they are secure.

The wire frame is approx 14 cm (5.5 inches) from back to front and is 13 cm (5.1 inches) from side to side. The tiara is approx. 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) high. We have photographed it on an antique mannequin head.

This beautiful couronne is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French decorative pieces & accessories at 'La Belle Étoffe'.

N.B. The veil is for display and is not included.
