This is a superb pair of long antique French château curtains made from a heavy textured cotton textile dating from about 1900. The textile is in amazing condition and the curtains look like they have barely been used.

The textile is very striking. It has a 'Tree of Life' design with a rich burgundy background. The flowers are in a gorgeous deep turquoise with ochre tones.

The textile is lovely and crisp and hangs beautifully. The outer edges are formed by the selvedge of the fabric. The meeting edges and one hem are unsewn with a small turn back. The bottom of the left hand curtain is raw. On the reverse of the top of the curtains is a sewn tape. There are small metal rings sewn to the top of the front of the curtains. They are unlined.

The curtains are in excellent antique condition. The textile is clean & fresh. The colours are bright and beautiful with no fading.

Each curtain measures :- 300 cm (9 ft 10 inches) long x 118 cm (3ft 10.5 inches) wide.
