This sublime antique French jug decanter would certainly add an authentic château chic touch to a drinks tray! It is the perfect size for handing round at a dinner party.

The decanter is made in glass beautifully etched in gold with a delicate scrolled acanthus leaf design.

It sits on a circular repoussé base with an acanthus leaf frill. The top of the decanter has an elegant repoussé spout and hinged lid. The lid is finished with an acanthus leaf flourish. An elegant handle completes this charming ensemble. 

The decanter is in good antique condition. There are one or two scratches to the glass and the gilding on the etching has worn a little in places. The gilding on the repoussé has taken on a fabulous old gold hue.

The decanter measures :-  H 26.5 cm (10.5 inches)  x W 12 cm (4.75 inches) including the handle x D 7.75 cms (3 inches).
