This is a panel of exquisite antique French silk brocade & damask textile dating from the 19th Century. It's quality and design are quite exceptional.

The damask and brocade are in alternating stripes. The damask has a floral design and is in a sublime shade of cherry red. The brocade has a flower, urn and bow design in soft pink and green shades against a champagne coloured background.

The textile is wonderfully crisp and 'crunchy'. It is in very good antique condition. There are a few pulls to the thread and one faint mark (please see photos) 50 cm (19.75 inches) up and 24 cm (9.5 inches) in from the bottom right hand corner.

The panel measures :- 140 cm (4 ft 7 inches) wide x 152 cm (6 ft ) long.
