B1492 - SOLD

This is a magnificent antique French architectural mount / plaque dating from the 1800's. It is very decorative and has lots of detail. It would be fantastic to incorporate into a building project as a focal point either inside or outside a house. Or it could just be used as a decorative piece and displayed on a wall or perhaps on a console table with other architectural treasure.

It is made of cast iron and is a large and substantial piece weighing over 3 kg. It has a fabulous central round medallion design, above and below which are scrolled and curled crests. To either side is a shell design culminating in a leaf finial - just stunning!

The cast iron has a subtle coral coloured patina which looks superb against the dark grey of the metal.

The plaque measures :- W 51.5 cm (20.25 inches) x H 29.75 cms (11.75 inches).
