This is the most beautiful double armed antique Italian toleware candle wall sconce dating from the early 1900's. It is exquisitely pretty. Imagine how atmospheric it would look lit with candles, perhaps in a bathroom or a conservatory.

The sconce has a gorgeous large gilded leaf backplate from which the 2 arms of the sconce scroll forward and terminate in a petalled cup. To either side of the large leaf a tendril of  smaller leaves weaves outwards, one with beautiful tiny blue flowers and the other with a large petalled blue flower. A further tendril weaves it's way around each arm and terminates in a divine pink rose bud to complete this vision of beauty!

Over the years the paint on the metal has taken on a fabulous patina, a look that could not be replicated.

There is a loop on the back of the sconce for hanging on a wall. The sconce is in good sturdy condition. The candle cups have been modified with plastic inserts to hold a modern day candle.The plastic inserts have been waxed to emanate the patina on the toleware.

The sconce measures approx :- 17 cm (6.75 inches) high x 27 cm (10.5 inches) wide x 12 cm (4.75 inches) deep.
