This is a fabulous antique French enamelware pail & lid dating from the early 1900's. It is a very decorative and atmospheric piece and would add an authentic shabby chic touch to a vintage cuisine.

It is white and green in colour and has a gorgeous floral painted vignette to the back, front and lid. The flowers are in subtle shades of mauve, pink and turquoise with hints of gilding. There is also gilding to the contours of the pail and lid.

The handle is sturdy and has a wooden centre. The wood has had some worm over the years but this has now long gone.

The pail and it's lid are in good vintage condition, with just a some distressing to the enamel.

It measures :- 31 cm (12.25 inches) high x 24.5 cm (9.5 inches) in diameter.
