B1513 - SOLD
This is a gorgeous pair of antique French glass decanters in the Art Nouveau style and dating around 1900. They ooze quality and style. They are large enough to hold a little sherry or port and small enough to look superb in a vitrine display.
Each decanter is made in frosted glass and is hand bell in shape, with a long elegant neck with a frill to the top. There is a beautiful gilded anenome leaf and bud motif on the front and a smaller one to the back.
The stoppers have clear glass tear drop tops and are full of lovely bubbles. Their ground glass bottoms are smooth and fit comfortably in the neck of the decanter.
The decanters are in good antique condition with no chips or cracks. The gilding of the motifs is still bright and beautiful. There is just a little fading to the gilding around the frilly tops.
Each decanter with it's stopper in measures :- 24 cm (9.5 inches) high x 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) in diameter.
These lovely decanters are from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French decorative pieces & accessories at 'La Belle Étoffe'.
N.B. We have photographed the decanters with a bottle of wine and a pair of antique glasses which are not included.
