B1525 - SOLDThis is a divine antique French trinket box dating from the Napoleon III era C 1860. It is perfect for a few rings perhaps on a nightstand and would look fabulous in a vitrine displayed with other treasures. It is made of frosted white glass in the shape of an egg and is held in a gilded wirework frame with 4 feet. The egg is hinged in two halves. The edges of the lid and base are trimmed with toleware. That on the lid has a small catch and that on the base is beaded, and has 4 loops, each with a decorative hanging ring - just lovely! The trinket box measures :- 10 cm (4 inches) high x 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) wide x 7 cm (2.75 inches) deep. A beautiful trinket stand to use and enjoy and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe. N.B. The accessories we have used are for display purposes only. We have photographed the piece with other trinket holders which can be found listed in our other items. Please hover cursor over picture for magnified detail and click on picture for enlarged photo.
