This is a deliightful set of 3 antique French silk château curtains dating from about 1920. They are balm to the eyes and would add a touch of faded grandeur to a château chic boudoir or salon.

They are a pair and a single curtain. They are made in a sublime silk brocade with a cream rose and ribbon lace design on a coral pink background. They are trimmed with a pink fringed passementerie and are lined with a fine cotton textile.

The curtains are of medium weight and hang beautifully. They are very clean and wholesome with just one mark and some age spots to the lining.

They do have some characteristics of age which in our opinion just add to the beauty of these wonderful curtains. The pair have some fading starting 32 cm (12.5 inches) from the top and extending downwards by 90 cm (35.5 inches). The single has fading to the left hand side and a little wear to the silk (please see photos). All the passementerie has faded to the palest pink. The lining has sagged a little at the bottom.

On our screen the colour is true to the colour of the curtains but please note that shades of colour do look different on different screens. Also due to the sheen on the silk it does look slightly different in different lights.

Each curtain measures :- 260 cm (8 ft 6.25 inches) long x 61 cm (2 ft) wide
