B1549 - SOLD

This is a sublime antique French Cornely lace curtain dating from the 1800's. It is very long and would be divine incorporated into any number of interiors projects.

The textile is a very fine cotton muslin and is absolutely covered in an exquisite floral design with vignettes and tendrils worked in fine chain stitch. The curtain is scalloped to three sides and at the top is a 'pelmet' and ties for tying onto a pole.

The curtain had been laundered. It is a gorgeous palest of pale dove grey. The curtain is in good antique condition but not surprisingly, considering the delicacy of the textile and it's age, there are a few tiny holes (please see photos) which do not  draw the eye from the splendour of this gorgeous antique lace curtain.

The curtain measures :- 285 cm (9 ft 4 inches) long x 143 cm (4 ft 8.25 inch) wide.

A divine frothy French Cornely lace curtain to add an authentic château chic finishing touch and another gorgeous antique French textile find from La Belle Étoffe.

Please note that the clips & tie back we have used to display the curtain are not included.
