This is a divinely pretty pair of long antique French tapestry château curtains dating from the early 1900's. They would be perfect to add an authentic shabby chic finishing touch to a vintage interior.

The textile is a cotton tapestry which is of good weight and hangs beautifully. It has a pinky beige background with beautiful flower vignettes and a border to the sides and bottom. The flowers are in gorgeous shades of pink, ochre and sage green which look superb against the beige background.

The curtains are hemmed to the bottom and sides. The tops have a modern ruching tape which can be pulled to size as required. The curtains are not lined.

The curtains are in very good antique condition. There is a little fading to the meeting edges and one very faint mark on the left hand curtain (please see photos) which blends into the design and does not draw the eye. The curtains have not been dry cleaned.

Each curtain measures:- 250 cm (8 ft 2 inches) long x 115 cm (3ft 9.25 inches) across the bottom. They are currently ruched to measure 86 cm (2 ft 10 inches) across the top.

This is a delightful pair of antique tapestry curtains to add an authentic pretty French finishing touch and another divine period French textile find from La Belle Étoffe.
