B1598 - Superb Pair Antique French Gilded Acanthus Leaf Curtain Tie / Hold Backs, 19thC

This is a superb pair of antique French gilded metal curtain tie / hold backs dating from the 1800's.

They are hinged so they hang freely from the wall and allow drapes to be secured back in a natural and elegant manner.

The front of the hook has a swirling acanthus leaf design and the back plate has scrolled edges.

The gilding to the metal has patinated a little over the years but still has a golden hue which catches the light beautifully. 

The tie backs have a strap on the back of the back plate and can be fixed to the wall by hanging them on a hook.

They measure :- H 31 cm (12.25 inches) x W 4.5 cm (1.75 inch) x D 13 cm (5 inches).

This is a superb pair curtain tie backs to add a château chic finishing touch and another divine antique French find from La Belle Ètoffe.
