This is a beautiful antique French planter / jardinière dating from the early 1900's. It is the most delicate I have ever seen. It would be perfect to take a few cut flowers as a table centre piece.

The jardinière is highly decorative and is made of silvered spelter. It has beautiful rose garland handles which finish with a leafed scroll to form 2 of the 4 feet.

On each of the sides of the jardinière is a central scrolled acanthus leaf crest from which a rose garland swags to either side.

The interior of the jardinière lifts out and is clear glass with a delicate cut glass design to the edge.

The jardinière is in good antique condition. The silvering on the spelter has mellowed over the years but still catches the light beautifully. The glass is perfect with no chips or cracks.

It measures :- W 22 cm (8.6 inches) x H 8 cm (3.1 inches) x D 8.5 cm (3.4 inches).
