This is a gorgeous vintage French woven tapestry wall hanging in the style of those decorating the palace of Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV. It would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a room.

It's design features 2 ornate columns connected by a balustrade to the base and trellis to the top. Within this architectural structure is a fabulous floral extravaganza of pink roses and leaves which continue weaving their way through the trellis.

The background is a lovely shade of champagne against which the subtle pinks and greens of the roses look superb.

The weave is textured with raised areas of soft chenille. The tapestry is lined and has a sewn pocket at the top to take a rod or batten.

It is in good vintage condition with just one or two marks on the lining.

It measures :- 135 cm (5 ft 5 inches) long x 93.5 cm (3 ft 0.75 inches) wide.
