B1712 - SOLD

This is a jolly band of 4 vintage French garden gnomes. They are straight from the garden and are full of timeworn vintage charm.

They are all happy chappies with beaming smiles, the obligatory red hat and brightly painted clothes. One of them is playing the squeeze box, one holds a teddy, one is stroking a duck and the other appears to be painting while leaning on a toadstool.

We have left them as we found them. Although the paint and glaze have peeled and distressed the terracotta is in good general condition with just a few minor chips (please see photos). They could of course be restored and painted or just popped back into the garden as they are.

The tallest measures :- 27.5 cm (10.75 inches) high x 12 cm (4.75 inches) wide x 11 cm (4.3 inches) deep.

A charming set of garden gnomes to put a smile on a face and another superb brocante find from 'La Belle Étoffe'.
