This is a stunning pair of antique French curtains dating about 1900. They are in the Art Nouveau style and would add an authentic finishing touch to a period home.

The textile is a cotton cretonne in a classic Art Nouveau floral design. The flowers are in stunning shades of ochre and olive green which look superb against the burgundy background.

The curtains are hemmed at the top and bottom. The bottoms are a little uneven. The sides of the curtains are formed by the selvedges of the fabric. They are not lined.

There is some wear to the top of the curtains (please see photos) but the rest of the textile is sound and has no obvious marks. We have left the curtains as we found them. They have not been dry cleaned or laundered but in our opinion with a little tidying up they would be ready to hang.

Each curtain measures:- 178 cm (5 ft 10 inches) long (at their shortest point) x  82 cm (2ft 8.25 inches) wide.
