This is a superb pair of triple armed antique French gilded spelter candle wall sconces dating from the 19th Century. They would certainly add flickering candlelit atmosphere to a château chic interior.

The triple arms branch out from a backplate with acanthus leaf and flower detail. The arms are scrolled and curled and the candle cups sit on decorative bobeche.

There is a loop on the back of each sconce for hanging on a wall.

The gilding on the spelter has mellowed over the years while still retaining golden highlights.

Each sconce measures  :- 26.5 cm (10.4 inches) high x 25 cm (9.75 inches) wide x approx 15 cm (5.9 inches) deep.
