This is a set of 8 of the most magnificent antique French curtain rings I have ever seen. They date from the 19th Century, are made of gilded metal and are huge and heavy. They would be fantastic for a large pole and heavy château curtain ensemble.

They have a stunning acanthus leaf embellishment that will sweep down over the top of the curtain when hung on a pole. These rings are meant to be sewn directly onto the curtain and there are 2 holes in the ring for this purpose.

The rings are all good and strong, each one weighs 0.275 kg ( 0.6 lb). The gilding has mellowed to a subtle antique patina.

Each ring including the acanthus leaf embellishment measures 13.5 cm (5.3 inches) high x 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide.

The inside diameter of the curtain ring measures 6.5 cm (2.5 inches).
