This is a stunning antique French château pelmet dating from the 19th Century. It would be divine over a window or a door and could perhaps be used over a bed.

The pelmet is made in woven tapestry. It has 3 gorgeous peony vignettes below each of which is acanthus leaf detail. The colours are beautiful antique hues of red, green pink, blue & ochres.

The top of the pelmet is straight and the bottom is shaped and has a passementerie trim.

The back is lined and has hooks for immediate hanging.

The pelmet is in good antique condition with no obvious marks or wear to the tapestry. It has not been dry cleaned. There is some discoloration and wear to the lining.

The pelmet measures :- W 162 cm (5 ft 3.75 inches) x H 49 cm (1 ft 7.25 inches).

A truly fabulous pelmet to add an authentic château chic finishing touch. It is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French textiles & decorative pieces at 'La Belle Étoffe'.

N.B. Any accessories we have used to hang the pelmet are not included. The huge acanthus leaf curtain rings, B1749, will be listed in our other items.
