B1764 - SOLD
This is a divine panel of antique French cotton cretonne textile in the most heavenly tulip design and dating from the Napoleon III era C 1860. It is nice and long and would make a gorgeous curtain. In fact we also have a wider panel of the same textile, B1763, listed in our other items, to perhaps make a pair.
The textile is of good weight and is in excellent antique condition with no holes. We have left it as we found it but it is crisp and clean and ready for use. The design and colour combination are to die for. There is a positive floribunda of gorgeous pink tulips, spring flowers and sage green leaves on a brown background - just fabulous.
The panel has a raw edge to the top. The right hand side is the selvedge, the left hand side is sewn and the bottom is hemmed.
The panel measures :- 253 cm (8 ft 3.5 inches) long x 54 cm ( 1 ft 9.25 inches) wide.
An exceptionally gorgeous piece of antique French textile to incorporate into an interiors project. It is from a carefully selected collection of antique & vintage French textiles, curtains & curtain accessories, and decorative pieces at 'La Belle Étoffe'!
N.B. Any accessories we have used to display the panel are not included.
