B1871 - Charming Antique French Filet Lace Curtain / Drape, Hand Worked Cherubs & Roses

This is a charming antique French hand made lace curtain dating about 1900. It is made in a cotton filet lace in antique white.

It has been beautifully hand worked in a thick cotton thread with a fabulous design. There is a central oval with three gorgeous winged cherubs. The oval has a basket of roses crest from which roses spill and descend down both sides of the curtain. Beneath the oval are scrolls and more roses which burgeon up to join the others. Around this splendour is a Greek keyes border.

The bottom of the curtain has a row of large roses and is scalloped.

The top of the curtain is sewn with 7 antique toleware rings.

The curtain is clean and in good antique condition. Please view all the photos.

The curtain measures :- 234 cm (7 ft 8.1 inches) long x 126 cm (4 ft 1.6 inches) wide.
The rings measure :- 5.75 cm (2.3 inches) outer diameter, 4 cm (1.6 inches) inner diameter.
