B1891 - SOLD

This is a stunning pair of antique French paintings on rolled canvas. They are full of  shabby chic atmosphere and would make the perfect decorator's  statement piece for a wall.

The subject of each painting is a magnificent stag dramatically silhouetted by the sunset.

Each scene has a border in silver paint and is signed R. CHERVIN.

The paintings are certainly showing characteristics of age. They have lost paint in places, there are some dark marks, particularly on the left hand one,  possibly fingerprints, and the edges have a few tears (please see photos) but they are absolutely gorgeous just as they are!

Each painting measures :- 178 cm (5 ft 10.1 inches) high x 56 cm (1 ft 10.1 inches) wide.

A stunning pair of painted wall hangings to add an atmospheric touch to a wall and another superb antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
