This impressive pair of two armed antique French brass candle wall sconces would certainly add flickering candlelit atmosphere to a château chic interior.

They are very substantial and sturdy with good weight, each one weighing over 1 kg.

They are in the Empire style. The backplate has swagged detail to the top with a flame crest.

The two arms branch out from the backplate and have acanthus leaf detail. The candle cups are decorative and sit on bobeche.

There is a strap on the back of each sconce for hanging on a wall.

The gilding on the brass has a fabulous atmospheric antique patina.

The sconces were once wired for electricity. There is a hole in each bobeche to take a wire.

Each sconce measures  :- 34.5 cm (13.6 inches) high x 23.5 cm (9.25 inches) wide x approx 10 cm (3.9 inches) deep.
