B1961 - SOLD

This is a gorgeous set of 7 vintage porcelain kitchen storage jars with lids dating about 1930/40.  We found them in France and they are labelled in French but were made in Czechoslovakia. They would be the perfect useful accessory to add an authentic vintage finishing touch to a kitchen. We also have a matching salt container listed in our other items.

There are 4 large jars labelled SUCRE, RIZ, CHICORÉE and FARINE, and 3 smaller jars labelled EPICES, MUSCADE, and GIROFLE.

They each have a charming scene of a gathering of ancient Greek maidens. The porcelain has a lovely irridescent finish with gilding to the corners of the front and around the vignette.

They are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, just some wear to the gilding and a few marks in places from years of use.

The large jars measure :- H 19 cm (7.5 inches) x W 11 cm (4.3 inches) x D 10.5 cm (4.1)

The small jars measure - H 11 cm (4.3 inches) x W 6 cm (2.3 inches) x D 5.5 cm (2.1 inches)

These sizes are with the lids on.

A superb set of storage jars to transform a kitchen shelf and another divine brocante find from 'La Belle Étoffe'.

N.B. We have photographed the set with the matching salt container B1962.
