B1965 - SOLD

This is a stunning antique French repoussé mirror dating from the 1800's. It would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a room.

It is in the Rococo style and is very decorative. It has a bow crest with flowers and scrolls on a mirrored background.

The mirror plate is bevelled and is surrounded by a decorative repoussé frame.

The back of the mirror is made in wood and has 2 metal loops to take a cord.

The mirror is sturdy and in good antique condition. There is a little foxing to the mirror plate. The gilding on the repoussé has some residue from years of polishing and a little verdigris but this just adds character to this wonderful old mirror.

The mirror measures :- 43.5 cm (17.1 inches) high x 23 cm (9 inches) wide.
