B2041 - Stunning Large Pair Antique French Gilded Metal Chateau Curtain Pole Finials,19th Century

This is a stunning large pair of antique French gilded metal curtain pole finials dating from the 1800's. They would certainly add a touch of grandeur to a curtain ensemble.

They have a fabulous scrolled acanthus leaf design. They are weighty and of good size. They are of good quality with excellent detail to the casting of the metal.

The gilding has mellowed to perfection with the passage of time while still retaining golden highlights.

Each finial has it's original screw for fixing to a pole.

Each finial measures:- 13.5 cm (5.3 inches) high not including the screw  x 9.25 cm (3.6 inches) wide. The base plate will fit over a 5 cm (2 inch) pole.
