This is a sublime antique French curtain pelmet dating from the 19th Century. It is made in a divine roses and leaves woven tapestry textile. The colours have muted over the years to subtle shades of pink, green and brown.

The bottom of the pelmet is trimmed with a lovely serpentine passementerie in red, green and brown.

The pelmet is lined. The lining has marked with time (please see photos) but remains intact.

The pelmet is in good antique condition. The tapestry textile has no signs of wear.

It measures :- 193 cm (6 ft 3 inches)  wide x 21 cm (8.26 inches) high including the passementerie.

This is a classic antique pelmet to add a stylish finishing touch to a room. It is from a carefully selected collection of divine antique French textiles & decorative pieces at 'La Belle Étoffe!
