This is a superb antique French photo album in the Art Nouveau style dating around 1900. It would make a wonderful gift filled with new photos perhaps to commemorate a wedding or the birth of a baby.

The album is covered in a deep pile, sumptuous red velvet. The front cover is adorned with gilded metal appliqués. The centrepiece is a shield upon which a sweet little bird perches, and to the side of which, is a lovely spray of flowers and leaves. Each of the corners has a smaller motif in the same style. A sturdy metal clasp holds the album shut.

Inside the album there are 13 cardboard pages to take the photographs. Some will take one large photograph and some will take four smaller ones. Each of the photograph windows has a gilded border.

The album is in good general antique condition and is very usable. There are one or two tiny nibbles to the velvet on the back (please see photos). The pages are firmly held in the album. There are some minor signs of usage to the cardboard and some age spots on the very back page. Please view all the photos. 

The album measures :- 27.5 cm (10.82 inches) high x 22 cm (8.66 inches) wide x 5.5 cm (2.16 inches) deep.
