B2051 - Magnificent Antique French Glass & Brass Soap Dish, Roaring Lion's Head Bracket

This is a magnificent antique French soap dish dating from the 19th Century. It is a very atmospheric piece and would add a marvelous authentic finishing touch to a period salle de bain. 

The actual dish is made in white opaline glass and sits in a gilded brass frame with a fabulous roaring lion back plate. There are 5 holes for fixing it to a wall.

The soap dish has survived the years in good antique condition with just a little patination to the gilding on the frame.

The soap dish in it's frame measures :- 14.75 cm (5.8 inches) high x 11 cm (4.3 inches) wide x 10 cm (3.9 inches) deep.
