B2080 - Gorgeous Antique French Art Nouveau Cotton Cretonne Panel, Pink Floral, Circa 1900

This is a gorgeous panel of antique French textile in the Art Nouveau style dating around 1900. It would add an authentic finishing touch to a period home perhaps as a throw on a bed or made into curtains.

The textile is a cotton cretonne in a classic Art Nouveau floral design. The flowers are in stunning shades of pink which look superb against the warm cream background.

The panel is hemmed at the top and bottom, the sides are formed by the selvedges of the fabric. There are 2 well matched vertical seams and a patch in the top left hand corner.

The panel has been laundered. A few marks remain (please see photos) which blend into the design and do not draw the eye. I can find just one or two pin prick holes

The panel measures:- 185 cm (6 ft 0.8 inches) wide x  182 cm (5 ft 11.6 inches) wide.
