B2123 - Beautiful Pair Long Antique French Spotted Tulle & Applique Lace Curtains / Drapes, 19th C

This is a beautiful pair of antique French spotted tulle & appliqué lace curtains dating from the 19th Century. They are very long and would look heavenly fluttering at a château window. We also have another pair of these, B2122, listed in our other items.

The textile is a very fine spotted tulle. The curtains have flower and tendril appliqué lacework to the leading edges and bottoms. There is a beautiful appliqué bow to the inner bottom corner.

A gorgeous frill to the leading edges and bottoms complete these wonderful curtains. There is a looped tape finish to the edges of the frills.

The tops have a sewn tape and there is evidence that they were once sewn with curtain rings.

The curtains are antique white in colour. They are in good antique condition. They have been laundered. A few tiny marks remain (please see photos) and there are a few pin prick holes.

Each curtain measures :- 293 cm (9 ft 7.3 inches) long including the frill x 90 cm (2 ft 11.4 inches) wide not including the frill. The frill is 15 cm (5.9 inches) wide.
