This is a divine pair of antique French gilded curtain pole finials dating from the 1800's.

They are made from gilded gesso on wood and have distressed to a finish that could not be replicated.

The gilding is thick and lustrous and where it has distressed the white gesso and underlying wood show through.

The effect is absolutely stunning and very architectural. They would add an authentic touch of faded grandeur to any château chic interior.

There has been a little worm to the wood over the years but this is now stable.

There is a dowel on each finial for attaching to a pole.

Each finial measures :- H (not including dowel) 14 cm (5.5 inches) x W 8.5 cm (3.3 inches)

                                            Diameter of base 5.5 cm (2.25 inches)
