This is an adorable vintage French doll's bed dating from the 1950's.

 It is big enough to take quite a large doll or teddy. It is made from wrought iron and it folds flat.

The bed stands on four decorative curly feet and there are decorative scrolls and curls to both ends and to one of the sides. As with many full sized French beds the back of the bed is plain as it would have been intended to stand against a wall.

There are also decorative curly crests to both ends of the bed.

The base of the bed lifts out to enable it to fold.

The paint on the bed has distressed over the years to create a wonderful shabby chic look.

The bed is sturdy and folds easily.

It measures :-

Overall - 64.5 cm (25.5 inches) long x 28 cm (11 inches) wide x 33 cm (13 inches) high.

Doll lying area - 61 cm (24 inches) long x 26 cm (10.25 inches) wide.

Folded - 87 cm (34.25 inches) long x 33 cm (13 inches) wide.

This lovely doll's bed would make a divine addition to any collection or vintage display. Or would, indeed make a little girl's dream come true.
