This is a superb continuous length of fantastic antique French gold wire fringed passementerie dating from about 1900.

It is nearly 5 metres long and is sufficient for large projects such as trimming curtains or the bottom of a sofa.

The passementerie is heavy with the gold wire and the fringing hangs beautifully.

Although previously used it is in fabulous condition and runs smoothly with no kinks.

The  wire has mellowed over the years to a gorgeous shade of old gold.

The passementerie would be perfect for use with other period textiles as it has the benefit of age while still being in good condition.

It is 477 cm (approx. 16 feet) long x 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) wide.

This fabulous passementerie can be seen in our shop in Frome, Somerset.
