B400 - SOLD

This is a gorgeous pair of antique French curtain tie backs in the Rococo style and dating from about 1880.

It is a substantial, good quality pair with excellent detail and definition to the casting.

The back plate and fascia of the tie back have a fabulous acanthus leaf design and the stem of the hook is delicately entwined with garland detail.

The gilding has naturally mellowed over the years to a lovely antique patina.

The tie backs have a strap on the back of the top plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook.

They measure :- H 15 cm (6 inches) x W 5 cm (2 inches) x D 18 cm (7 inches).

We have another pair of tie backs B399, which are very similar to these and could be used in the same room.
