This is a divine antique French easel picture frame dating from the late 1800's.

It would be perfect for a château chic boudoir, perhaps placed on a bedside table.

We have left it as we found it with this adorable photograph of a pretty little girl with her gorgeous cat. This can be left in place or replaced with a cherished photo as required.

The frame is ormolu and has a gorgeous bow crest with ribbon tails inter-twined with flowers.

It stands on two ball feet. On the back is the easel spring mechanism which works smoothly. The back stand is good and strong.

The gilding on the ormolu has mellowed over the years to timeworn perfection.

The glass diplay panel is thick and heavy with a bevelled edge. It is original to the frame and has acquired one or two minor nibbles to the edge over the years. This is as one would expect and does not detract from the charm of this gorgeous frame.

The frame measures 20.5 cm (8 inches) high x 11 cm (4.25 inches) wide.

While standing it measures 9 cm (3.5 inches) deep.
