B409 - SOLD

This is a sweet antique French ormolu picture frame dating from about 1880.

It would be perfect for a boudoir, perhaps placed on a bedside table.

We have left it as we found it with this charming photo of two little girls in the 1950's. This can be left in place or replaced with a cherished photo as required.

The frame has a leaf sprig design around the sides and it has an exquisite bow and ribbon tail crest.

The gilding on the ormolu has mellowed over the years to timeworn perfection.

The glass is clear and is in good condition.

The frame has a supporting back rest and this is sturdy.

The frame measures 16 cm (6.25 inches) high x 9 cm (3.5 inches) wide.

While standing it is 6.5 cm (2.5 inches) deep.
