This is a divine pair of antique French curtain tie backs in the Rococo style and dating from about 1880.

They are unusual in that they have a left and right configuration.

The back plate has a charming flower decoration and the hook and it's fascia form a gorgeous acanthus leaf swirl.

The gilding has mellowed over the years in a striking manner and the resulting patina adds further glamour to these lovely tie backs.

The tie backs have a strap on the back of the top plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook.

They measure :- H 18 cm (7 inches) x W 5 cm (2 inches) x D 15 cm (6 inches).

This is a gorgeous pair of tie backs to add a château chic finishing touch and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe!
