This is a divine antique French ex voto dating from the early 1900's. It would have been placed in a church to give thanks to a saint. It is extremely decorative and would be a fabulous addition to any period French display or as a romantic token to a loved one.

It is cast in fabulous detail and is very symbolic. The three dimensional heart has a scalloped lace like edge and is crested with an urn of fire. To either side of the fire is a winged angel and at the tip of the heart is a cherubic angel with exquisite wings and face.

On the back of the heart are the initials G.P.W. 

There is a loop at the top for hanging by a ribbon or chain.

The ex voto measures :- 10.5 cm (4 inches) high x 8 cm (3.25 inches) wide.

An interesting and decorative authentic period piece for any château chic display or to keep and treasure as part of a collection.
