B478 - SOLD

This is an exquisite antique French planter / jardinière dating from the early 1900's.

It is a gorgeous natural conch shell mounted on a silver plated base and is fabulously architectural. It would be superb filled with sphagnum moss and planted with a couple of cyclamen or incorporated into a much larger floral display.

The shell is a gorgeous dusty pink colour. It stands on a round metal base which has an almost pearlescent finish. The rim of the shell is also capped with this metal and it finishes it off to perfection.

All is in good condition. The inside of the shell has a little soil - a remnant from a previous planting.

This gorgeous shell would also be superb for other uses. It would be fabulous in a bathroom with a few guest toiletries tucked in to it or as a presentation receptacle for a little gift.

It measures :- 12.5 cm (5 inches) high x 18.5 cm (7.25 inches) wide x 14 cm (5.5 inches) deep.

A gorgeous architectural shell for plants or gifts and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
