This is a sublime panel of antique French damask mattress ticking dating from the late 1800's - early 1900's.

The textile is a tight cotton weave which is very strong and would be perfect for upholstery projects. It is so pretty it would look gorgeous on a boudoir chair.

The ticking has an abundance of beautiful roses and tendrils of tiny flowers caught in bows with flowing ribbon tails. It is in a divine shade of light turquoise.

It has been used but has been newly laundered and has no obvious marks. There is some light fading on the left hand edge and at the top of the panel. There are a few rust spots from the springs of the mattress (see pics) but there is plenty of textile for projects.

It measures :- 196 cm (6 ft 5 inches) long x 120 cm (3 ft 11 inches) wide.
