This is a fabulous set of 18 antique French ormolu curtain rings dating from the 1800's.

They have a gorgeous acanthus leaf embellishment that will sweep down over the top of the curtains when hung on a pole. The effect will be stunning and very chic.

These rings were originally sewn directly onto the curtain but a wire loop could be added to each ring in order to take a modern curtain hook. There are two small holes at the end of the leaves for stitching to the curtain for further security.

The rings are very substantial and heavy. They are all good and strong with no dents. Over the years the gilding on the ormolu has acquired a fabulous antique patina including areas of verdigris. This will compliment antique textiles perfectly or it can be polished off if required.

Each ring including the acanthus leaf embellishment measures 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) high x 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) wide.

The inside of the curtain ring itself measures 5.25 cm (2 inches) diameter.
