This is an impressive set of 3 antique French ormolu curtain tie / hold backs in the Empire style and dating from about 1880.

They are very grand and would be ideal for a room with a double and a single window.

They are of fabulous quality with substantial weight and excellent detail and definition to the casting of the metal.

 The fascia of the hook has an acanthus leaf crest below which is a beautiful rose and flower garland swag. On the back of the hook is an impressive acanthus leaf finial.

The tie backs have a strap on the reverse of the back plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook.

They measure :- H 14 cm (5.5 inches) x W 5 cm (2 inches) x D 19.5 cm (7.75 inches).
