This is a gorgeous antique French Art Nouveau cupboard dating from about 1900. It is a very decorative and useful piece.

It would be great for hanging in a bathroom to take a few toiletries or it would sit nicely on a hall window ledge to take keys.

The sides and door are panelled and are hand painted with poppies. The wood is stained in striking shades of rich brown which complement the golden shades of the poppies perfectly.

The top of the cupboard is adorned with a decorative pediment carved with scrolls and is also painted with the poppy design.

The door has a decorative escutcheon and a lock and key that works perfectly. It opens smoothly to reveal a simple wooden interior with two shelves.

The cupboard is sturdy. It has two holes at the back for hanging on a wall or it can sit on it's decorative base.

It measures :- 44 cm (17.25 inches) high x 30 cm (11.75 inches) wide x 15.5 cm (6 inches) deep.
