This is a gorgeous antique French framed religious print of Saint Thérèsa, the patron saint of florists, dating from about 1920.

She looks very beautiful and serene. She has huge eyes and blushing cheeks and her vestments drape beautifully. With one hand she holds a crucifix and with the other she clasps a bouquet of full blown roses.

The colours are wonderful. The deep pink of the roses contrasting perfectly with the subtle hues of the background. Around Saint Thérèsa's head is a golden aureole and the gold can also be seen on the trim of her gown and the clasp at her neck.

The print is held in a wooden frame carved with flowers and leaves in the style of the time.

The frame and it's print are in good condition. There is a little dust under the glass but this just adds a character to this beautiful old picture.

It measures :- H 47 cm (18.5 inches) x W 35 cm (13.75 inches).

A fabulous old print to add an atmospheric period touch to an interior and another divine antique French find from La Belle Ètoffe.
