This is a  fabulous quality antique French top hat box dating from the 1800's.

It is as decorative as it is useful and would look superb on top of a wardrobe or as a display piece in a vintage clothes shop.

It is beautifully made from canvas and is in exceptionally good condition. The edges of the base and the sides are re-enforced with metal straps and it is very sturdy.

The lid of the box has a thick leather carrying handle and there is a leather strap and buckle to secure it shut.

The lid lifts up to reveal an interior lined with blue and cream striped paper. It is beautifully clean and well cared for.

The box measures :- 33 cm (13 inches) wide x 23.5 cm (9.25 inches) high x 29 cm (11.5 inches) deep.

A beautiful hat box to add an atmospheric finishing touch and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
